Kalaloch Campground Map Overview
On the map, the Pacific Ocean and sand beach run along the left (west) side, with the campground loops perched on the bluff above. Highway 101 and the access road appear on the right (east). A north arrow near the top shows that north is slightly up and left.
Campsites are grouped in lettered loops: A, B, and C loops form the main southern cluster; D and E loops sit off a long spine road to the north; and a small F loop lies between them. The legend notes 168 campsites, water all year, and a $5 sanitation station fee.
South End: A, B & C Loops
At the bottom of the map, closest to Kalaloch Lodge and Store, you’ll find the densest part of the campground:
- A Loop: The big ocean-facing loop along the bluff, with sites A1–A40s wrapping around the outside edge. Several spur sites A20s–A30s extend toward the beach side, and “Stairs to Beach” are marked between A20–A23.
- B Loop: Smaller inner loop just east of A. Sites B1–B19 sit on a tight figure-eight, good if you want quick access to both the amphitheater trail and the water/restroom cluster near B3.
- C Loop: Eastern loop toward the Kalaloch Creek Nature Trail side of the map. Sites C1–C21 form a long curved line with a short interior spur. This area is a bit more sheltered from ocean wind than the A loop bluff edge.
These three loops share multiple water spigots and restroom buildings, so most southern sites are only a short walk from facilities.
North End: D, E & F Loops
Driving north from the main junction, the map shows a narrow road climbing toward three more loops:
- D Loop: The longest of the northern loops, with sites D1–D39 arranged in a tall oval that parallels the shoreline. A water icon, restrooms, and the RV sanitation station and fee symbol sit near sites D17–D18.
- E Loop: A compact interior loop with sites E1–E12 between the spine road and D loop. Restrooms and water are marked at the top of E, shared with nearby D sites.
- F Loop: Smaller coastal loop south of the parking oval, with sites F1–F10 tracing the bluff and F6–F9 along the inner road. Another “Stairs to Beach” label appears near F2–F3.
The northern loops tend to feel a bit quieter and more spaced out. If you want faster beach access, aim for D or F sites near the labeled staircases on the map.
Facilities & Icons on the Kalaloch Map
The legend uses only a handful of icons, but they’re all important for planning:
- Water drops: Blue water icons show shared spigots, mainly near B3, B17/B18, F2, and D17/D18.
- Restrooms: Black restroom icons at multiple points in the A/B/C cluster and again in the D/E area.
- Campfire Center / Amphitheatre: Flame icon south of the parking oval and another label in the southern loops.
- Trail: Dashed lines marking short paths from loops to the amphitheater, parking, and beach stairs.
- RV Sanitation Station: Pump icon near D17–D18 with “$5 Fee” noted.
- Accessible feature: Blue accessibility symbol near A9 in the southern cluster.
Because water is shared, it’s worth using the map to pick a site within a few pads of a spigot—especially in the upper D loop where the road is long.
Beach Access & Nearby Trails
The left side of the map labels the Beach and Pacific Ocean, with dotted paths and “Stairs to Beach” from both the southern A loop and the central F/D area. Those stair access points are your main routes down to the sand.
On the right, a dashed line points toward the Kalaloch Creek Nature Trail near sites A50–A52 and another arrow marks the short walk to Kalaloch Lodge and Store near Highway 101.
